Kenney & Sams is pleased to announce that we have partnered with Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) and Sherin and Lodgen LLP in establishing the Robert J. Muldoon, Jr. Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund, in honor of Sherin and Lodgen’s former managing partner and former Litigation Department Chair, is a tribute to Muldoon’s legacy as a longtime advocate of continuing legal education and MCLE programming.
Muldoon was a mentor to K&S founders Chris Kenney and Mike Sams. He set the standard for excellence that K&S strives to embody.
The scholarship fund aims to make MCLE programs and publications accessible to those who would not otherwise be able to afford them. Scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis to 10 eligible recipients, including legal services attorneys, pro-bono attorneys, solo practitioners, new lawyers, and other advocates who work to serve the public interest. Sherin and Lodgen and Kenney & Sams pledged the first $10,000 to launch the scholarship fund with the goal of reaching $25,000. Contributions to the scholarship fund can be made online, or sent by mail with the pledge form.
