J. Nathan Cole was asked by outgoing International Association of Defense Counsel (“IADC”) President, Mark Beebe, to serve on the Nominating Committee at this year’s IADC annual meeting in Waimea, Hawaii from July 9 – July 14, 2023.
The Nominating Committee is comprised of a chair and four members selected at the discretion of the sitting IADC President. Its purpose is to nominate (1) the president-elect, (2) the three vacant seats for the Board of Directors, and (3) any other open office positions. This year, the Nominating Committee had the responsibility of nominating the president-elect, three-board members, and the Vice President-International.
Nate is actively involved with the IADC and currently serves as Chair of the IADC’s Construction Law and Litigation Committee. He has been a panelist and moderator at several IADC annual meetings, presenting on topics ranging from the Non-Delegable Duty for Jobsite Safety to Blockchain and the Impact of Cryptocurrencies on the Practice of Law. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association where he is Chair of the Construction Law Committee.
