Additionally, Anthony has extensive experience prosecuting and defending professional liability claims involving building projects. A prolific advocate for his clients, Anthony successfully litigated over 55 jury trials to verdict in recent times. As a result of his varied experience, Anthony combines important industry knowledge with detailed analytical skills to achieve successful legal representation.
Prior to joining Kenney & Sams, Anthony was an attorney with a national construction boutique law firm in Florida. In this role, he advised homeowner associations on a range of contract, liability and risk management matters. He also guided clients through construction defect litigation cases from inception to completion. After relocating to Massachusetts, Anthony resolved a range of civil litigation matters at Boston-based law firms. In addition to being a lawyer, Anthony also dedicates a significant amount of his time to public service, currently serving as an appointed member of his town’s recreation commission.
With over a decade of experience practicing law, Anthony is an aggressive and passionate advocate for his clients. He is committed to helping clients across the wide spectrum of business and personal scenarios and is equally comfortable helping clients attain new business opportunities as he is in supporting them through difficult times in their professional lives. He understands that success is a worthy endeavor and builds long-term relationships.
From an early age, Anthony learned the importance and reward of hard work. Anthony was born in Stuttgart, Germany to a father in the United States Army, and grew up in Rhode Island. Raised on Portuguese values where family, hard work and good food are the foundation to every household, Anthony graduated from Rhode Island College in 2007 with a B.A. in International management and earned his law degree from Florida A&M University College of Law. As a student athlete, he found focus and persistence to be results-oriented drivers to success, a method he now applies to defending his clients’ interests. It is with this experience that he has learned to approach litigation as a three-dimensional exercise, containing numerous vantage points and theories separate from those seen at first glance. This willingness to study a case from every angle fuels his ability to craft creative solutions that achieve the best possible outcome in complex legal matters.
