John is a seasoned litigator with a wide range of civil litigation experience. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in contract disputes, tort disputes, commercial and residential lease disputes, land use issues and employment matters, at both the trial and appellate level. He has represented license holders and professionals before various boards of the state Division of Occupational Licensure, as well as employers before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. He advises licensees and professionals regarding their licensing applications and requirements, and counsels employers on employment issues and employee handbooks.
At Kenney & Sams, John represents homeowners, construction companies and contractors in construction disputes and disputes arising out of public bidding and public construction contracts.
John comes to Kenney & Sams with over twenty years of experience in private practice. Before joining Kenney & Sams, he worked at a small Boston law firm where he represented a variety of clients, ranging from individuals and families, employers, residential and commercial landlords, a local non-profit scientific organization, multiple automobile dealerships, professionals and licensees, and federal Trademark applicants. Before entering private practice, John was a Law Clerk to the Late Honorable John H. Mason of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
